Hockey Academy (NCHA)

VARSITY (18U)

Finally, after 3 years of trying out, we'll have our 18U team (VARSITY) competing for the first time in the NAPHL league, which brings together teams from Quebec, Ontario, the Maritimes and the United States.

Mission

The Academy's mission is to develop young student-athletes and offer them a new and different opportunity to showcase themselves in front of several scouts from colleges and universities teams with various junior level teams across the country as well as across the border.

Philosophy

All young hockey players dream of one day being with their idols and playing with an NHL team. But sometimes we must be realistic: less than 0.0326% of players in Quebec will break through the ranks of the NHL. However, while the NHL is the famous goal (or holy grail) of many of these players, there is nothing wrong with playing in Europe and getting a great hockey career, and even starting out his own company to share his hockey knowledge with young players! Wouldn't the real goal be to play your favorite sport in a competitive level that will force us to give our best? Do not be fooled, there are several paths available that we can follow to give ourselves the chance to play hockey at the best possible level while completing our studies.

At Maxtech Hockey, every young athlete is considered equal to their peers: all receive the same quality of training, the same ice time with a dedicated coach and the same amount of sound advice to improve and reach their full potential. This is one of our greatest pride for over 28 years and it is not about to change! This new program will help develop athletes, improve their weaknesses, and teach them their responsibilities on the ice in a respectful, efficient, and friendly environment.

Hockey is a school of life and every athlete has the right to thrive in their sport.

- 50 hours of on ice practices minimum.
